Revealed: Russia “Radio Therapy” program

There’s such a thing as influence in politics, but usually real activity counts. It’s what I’ve heard from a few grandees in Parliamentary circles. They know real events get things done.

It’s what MP’s work at constantly.

However, bad state actors try their luck too, and their hand is to influence. This is the attempt to effect change minus the input.

They lack the potential of election, and another method is needed.

I heard of Radio Therapy, a “Political Influence” program run by Russia years ago. It ran in close quarters to Ministers.

The aim had been to effect changes to policy proposals, to see what advantages could be had by it in the UK.

The dangers are clear. It replaces citizenship. It hinders the work of the Civil Service. It disrupts ordinary progress in parties. It distorts the outcomes of any attempt at policy formation.

It must be fought off at every turn.
