Exclusive: MI6 in positive position

MI6, the UK’s only acknowledged overseas intelligence body, has reported a positive outlook for its work in light of “changing realities” and “a new breed of professionalism” in its view. The positive assessment is an affirmation of a firmly optimistic review put out in a French magazine recently, which rated it the best in Europe.

“MI6 is changing realities on the ground, showing a new breed of professionalism, and reckoning with realities it can rectify alone. The basis for overseas intelligence work is strong, and our secrecy is secure.”

MI6/Release.

Despite staffing challenges that’ve reportedly left it in disarray before, the release given out suggests such mistakes have largely been corrected, even as a high demand exists on its resources. The language conveys a lot more is being done to overhaul spying since the body’s inception, without a loss of enthusiasm or a genuine perspective.
