The by-election win of Andy Burnham MP (as he is) has only meant Labour got a seat back as part of a deal between an existing MP and an internationally wanted criminal. The lack of logic in this act proves that while a landslide win is a boost for a party agenda, it also brings in a few quacks as well.

Burnham will be looked at with much more scrutiny by international Policing agencies, and will have to answer yet more questions about his criminal past – and present. The recent past isn’t his recovery from what has proved to be a difficult involvement in national politics and international affairs.
