  • Iran protests have a predictable effect

    The protests in Iran are having a predictable effect worldwide, and it’s not a good one.

    Here, there are shows of respect in Western states, but these selfsame powers have also lately questioned protests in their own backyard, and it sounds hypocritical.

    There’s also an error in their ‘support’ for protests in Iran but not in Venezuela, and the removal of Maduro by Americans.

    They’re usually tacit in their agreement on these things, but perhaps there’s a secret divide here in political interests.

  • Caught: Iran mercenary

    In a further disturbing development for international relations and a reminder of the UK’s status as an international security partner, an Iran-backed mercenary alleged to have a list of US citizens as targets has been arrested in London.

    He’s believed to have been trained to attack businesspeople in business settings, using CCTV footage, front desk logs, and tipoffs from office staff to compile lists. He’s known to have sniper training, and is an adversary of the US in his own right.

    His development as a State-backed assassin refers back to America’s presence in London, both diplomatically and according to lines of trade established by political agreement. It’s believed the Supreme Leader has invested in his activity, and has sought to use it practically to further his own aims.

    Ali Khamenei is to the Middle East a prick in everyone’s finger. He also strikes people as being a conundrum in many respects. He preaches on Islam but is lenient on terror. He calls for prosperity but stops Iranians getting richer. He reaches out to its neighbours but says Israel is demonic.

    Iran is not a bedfellow of any state in the world. It’s a creator of terror. It incites harm. The Persian nation is a singular zone of injustice. It oppresses its population. It kills its best. It beats hope out of new generations. The curtailment of it is a seismic break from a quasi-colonial form of rule.

    Iran isn’t an easy state to control. The actions of Israel will not change its rhetoric. It fuels the inspiration of terror networks to attack us. The front we fight is not likely to disappear soon.

    The words of its public figures are inflamed in rage. Their words are curses for us. It’s doom and gloom for the West and otherwise death to Israel. The threat is no less because of strikes.

    Their terrorist networks will find other ways. Iran’s nuclear program is in ruins but its resolve is there. They will look to each other. Israel is safer from a nuclear strike but it’s not safe from terrorism.

    Ali Khamenei, in the original post, called for an end to Israeli and American influence in Gaza and the Middle East by the “inner strength” of Islamic people across the world.
