  • Revealed: “Miss Matrix” fraud

The allure of MI5 work is never reflected in the reality of it, but it’s enough for some to get too close and to get burned. This has never been truer than in recent times, as a number of female applicants formed a “Miss Matrix” group in the early stages of their interviews. It led to ignorance during training and later mistakes in their work. They were all decommissioned but it just goes to show that sometimes fiction rubs up against fact too closely.

  • Why is safety of such low importance?

The UK has a crisis of safety. The issues now stack up. The measures in place are improving, but the human resources aren’t. There’s a lag in replacing ineffective staff. There’s a gap in people power at the very core of Policing and uses of force. The disarray is now palpable.

The UK suffers from a lack of legitimate human activity. Meanwhile pliable staff sit at terminals and watch the chaos happen. They speak up the game and swing the near misses, but their lack of ethic is clear. The public aren’t fooled by lazy employees or scatterbrained managers.

  • Revealed: MI5’s “Oxidisation” moment

A theory that MI5 works well if it works in secrecy is tested if changes are made to its modus operandi. It happened most recently as University graduates became emboldened. They were an overly ambitious cohort. They wanted more, and wanted it with immediacy.

As MI5 were asked to expand its recruitment process to end decades of inactivity, it made a mistake of taking on these “eager beavers”, as one said of it. The result was “Oxidisation”. Some of its core functions were corrupted, and led to unseen damage.

Thames House turned into an office-based experience over the professional exercise it used to be. The existing staff carried on because the UK’s security depended on it. It made life significantly unsafe for Agents and staff.

He was seen making his way to Whitehall, where he’s been seen before causing trouble for new starts, and prospective applicants.

  • Exposed: Job centre calamity

It’s not easy looking for work, and helping someone to do it can be difficult too. The same problems appear to both, and expertise is not always a guarantee of getting a job or finding one to offer as a suggestion to begin with. The trials and tribulations are known to many by now.

The innovation of government intervention to support job seekers is also not new, but reasons exist to believe it needs improvement or that extra help can prove a better way of doing it. It was the belief of two individuals who targeted a JobCentre in Reading, only to fail on their feet.

They first invited themselves to “improve the system” of the workplace, not knowing such training upgrades and skills improvements were already under way. It appeared this pair were hijacking, as it were, the rollout of such measures to help Center staff as they continued to work.

The ensuing calamity caused that lasted weeks did great harm to the wellbeing of service staff, and a few of those who used it too. It brought confusion, mostly, because the stated intent to help out an already fully functioning and sophisticated service went so badly wrong.
