  • Profile: Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton

Lord Cameron was born in Marylebone, London, in 1966. After he studied at Eton and Oxford he worked for the Conservative Party, in media, as well as other roles.

His political career began as MP for Witney, Oxfordshire, in 2001. He became a member of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee the same year.

He held other positions including Shadow Education Secretary before he was elected in 2005 as leader of his party. He became Prime Minister in 2010 after the resignation of Gordon Brown, leader of the Labour party.

He was re-elected in 2015 and held a referendum of the UK’s membership of the European Union in June 2016. He campaigned for the Remain side. He resigned as Prime Minister following the Leave result.

He’s since written a memoir, acted as advisor to a number of overseas companies, and spoken at events across the world. In 2023 he became Foreign Secretary as well as made a peer in Rishi Sunak’s government.

  • Realities in border security

The “truth” isn’t easy to swallow and those who’ve gone before us know better than any.

It’s their job and they’ve done it for donkey’s years. They know it like the back of their hand. Such as it is for those also working along our borders, in airports, and across the world.

It’s a tough old world – and it’s a tough job working in it.

The expectations we lay down are built over hundreds of years because we know what happens if we don’t have them. There’s chaos. There’s anarchy. There’s disorder.

This is what faced Border Force staff at the start of a wave of illegal migration the UK hasn’t seen before.

It just doesn’t happen as a matter of course. It’s unusual to find such a level of activity at our south coast, as well as at airports. It was the same in either location to begin with.

I spoke briefly to a few sources in either location and heard their worries about the situation.

An airport is a mechanism of many moving parts and it’s bewildering at times. It takes professionalism to make it work. If you include terror threats, cyber attacks, and protests, it gets even more precarious.

A meltdown in services isn’t a result of a button left “off”. It’s usually due to sinister activity of those who want more to do in life than low-level criminality.

  • London’s street shame

A look around London brings out some interesting surprises.

On a day when it’s doom and gloom in the skies, a quick peek at the pretty rows of houses brings out their true style – and state.

Just a look at a few of the houses along one street brings out a few home truths.

It’s expensive and hard work to keep these going. There’s also not a lot to be seen from the outside unless it’s in disrepair.

As soon as the snow blindness clears it’s off to another street to spy.

  • Malaysia draws a line

A culmination of trouble in the UK has resulted in Malaysia’s travel advice to its citizens. In a press release posted yesterday it said Malaysian nationals need to show extra care in the UK.

…Stay away from protest areas, remain vigilant and follow the latest updates and guidance provided by local authorities.

To hear the UK isn’t safe even for overseas visitors is disconcerting. It isn’t a frequent occurrence for us. The nature of the rioting however makes it clear. It’s been indiscriminate as overseas nationals have now been targeted.

A serious effort to stop illegal migration responsibly is overshadowed. In retrospect rioting makes us look irresponsible. The thugs may be thugs but they’re us still. It matters people cause trouble here. It cannot be dismissed as yobbishness alone.

  • The way of being evangelical

The religious ‘world’ is a turn of phrase for something we believe generally to understand. It’s not as simple as that of course but like the weather it helps if it can be.

The simple ways in which things are described leads us to such conclusions as to not understand it.

“If my life is any example to go by, maybe yours is too”, is one such statement made to me once. I didn’t agree but he was so cock sure of it I let it fly.

The entrance made into a church is long and arduous for some. They are those who have a long road ahead of them because they’re ready for the journey. They also know it takes a lot to start out.

In the other camp are those who take us along for a ride. It’s not always bumpy, they promise, and it can be fun. This isn’t always the case, but their intentions are laid out first by promises.

It’s a minefield to navigate around and beyond with care because no one really understands what happens in there. The religious part is the mystery found anywhere else but the people are a real conundrum.

It’s what I and others find out constantly as we tour religious groups and buildings.

It isn’t a superior way of seeing things, it’s just a way of saying it.

In my distant past I met a few key leaders who themselves did greater things than me. The miracles only ever come out of the best of us and folks like me don’t get there at all.

It’s supposed to be another mystery we just can’t understand yet. The only remaining question is why they think it’s so.

They’ve never been a mystery and neither are we.

  • Exclusive: Gov. fraudster

A suspect alleged to have been involved in scams against Whitehall, the civil service arm of the government, was located today.

She is alleged to have been involved in former efforts against departments of state. It was a “brute force” style of attack which first alerted authorities to her activities.

  • Starmer hits back

Sir Keir Starmer said some strong words over the weekend. He said rioters will be arrested, charged, and imprisoned.

“The police will be making arrests.  Individuals will be held on remand. Charges will follow. And convictions will follow.”

After all, a news story like this is not what Starmer needs right now. It doesn’t fit well with his pledges overseas, at least.

He’s claims he’ll restore law and order by setting police on thugs, but by when?

    Surely we’ve heard this before.

Our record on protests is a grey area particularly in London, where it really counts.

It all spills over, and frankly we’re done crying about it.

It’s where most of our investment goes after all, and the rest of the UK is where the staff come from.

There has to be law here or there’s nothing left, surely? It’s not looking good for a hopeful Prime Minister.

    Maybe things will change.

  • Protests exposed

Three key figures involved in the media side of protests in the UK can now be exposed for their involvement.

There are serious concerns over their respective roles. It’s also not clear how they know each other or for how long.

  • Jan 6 in retrospect

In conservative political lore it makes sense to say protest isn’t the way forward.

In the UK it bears out to be the truth.

Most if not all protests at times are either Labour or liberal in origin. It isn’t easy to always work out who and messages change too. A protest needs a life of its own as well.

The events of Jan 6 make ever clearer that patriotism runs deep for some people. It isn’t a matter of republican this or Democrat that, but it’s a sense of where one lives. It’s what drives people.

We go to the lengths we go to win or sign documents because we also care. It’s a part of who we all are.

A recent press release by the U.S Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia, has stated that so far the rioters cover nearly all the states in the country. It’s a huge figure and makes a difference considering its context.

It doesn’t suggest a local Republican branch or a group which organised beforehand.

It suggests an underlying issue which isn’t clear yet. It will bear out in time but for now it’s a legal system that has its say following an event that few have gotten to grips with just yet.

  • Exposed: NYT ‘power couple’

A couple at the heart of an operation at The New York Times to defraud journalists and others can be exposed.

They’re responsible for acting as “Masterminds” to the effort to secure stories falsely and defraud industry players of their work. They’ve also put careers at risk.

  • England’s dark side

It’s not pleasant having an argument with a delivery guy in the street. I found one this morning who’s known to be a crook.

Yet such is an average day in London if you’re looking for it.

They’re the guys who have a breakfast and enjoy a chatter, but never settle down.

They like to think in terms of millions, if not billions, not their own job.

Their progress is slow but it involves a lot of moving parts so it’s possible to see.

Sadly, it’s just average to see one around.

  • NYT: Adjuster uncovered

In a new exclusive for ConservativeNewsSite.com, a man suspected of involvement in an alleged attempt to steal from people in the UK is now exposed.

He was found at a train station in England this morning. A team dispatched to work on this alleged plot were discovered in the same location yesterday.
