    In the popularity stakes, the government’s approval rating reportedly remains in the low 20’s at 23% as of 16 September. Its disapproval rating is just over half the population at 53%.

    These stats are produced by YouGov, a UK-based polling company, and encompass the views of between 1521-13996 adults.

    According to YouGov polling the governments approval rating has stayed at 23% since 26 August. Its disapproval rating has decreased slightly by one percentage point to sit at 50%.

    However, dismay has increased since the 4 July election. Its reaction to riots, ongoing pay disputes, and discontent over illegal immigration all might have contributed to the stats.
