    In the popularity stakes, the government’s approval rating reportedly remains in the low 20’s at 23% as of 16 September. Its disapproval rating is just over half the population at 53%.

    These stats are produced by YouGov, a UK-based polling company, and encompass the views of between 1521-13996 adults.

  • Gov approval slips

    In recent YouGov analysis, the government’s approval rating has slid in recent weeks. It’s now at 26%, which is 3% lower than in July, the last time it was measured. Its disapproval rating is at 47%.

    This is significantly better than Rishi Sunak, who ended his Premiership with a 12% approval rating, and 73% disapproval. The tracker is based on a sample of between 1,521 and 13,996 people in the UK.
