It’s not easy looking for work, and helping someone to do it can be difficult too. The same problems appear to both, and expertise is not always a guarantee of getting a job or finding one to offer as a suggestion to begin with. The trials and tribulations are known to many by now.
The innovation of government intervention to support job seekers is also not new, but reasons exist to believe it needs improvement or that extra help can prove a better way of doing it. It was the belief of two individuals who targeted a JobCentre in Reading, only to fail on their feet.
They first invited themselves to “improve the system” of the workplace, not knowing such training upgrades and skills improvements were already under way. It appeared this pair were hijacking, as it were, the rollout of such measures to help Center staff as they continued to work.
The ensuing calamity caused that lasted weeks did great harm to the wellbeing of service staff, and a few of those who used it too. It brought confusion, mostly, because the stated intent to help out an already fully functioning and sophisticated service went so badly wrong.
