The Dover Crossings continue to cast a long shadow over the UK. It’s a state of affairs that has resulted in huge damage in some ways. It’s believed the Southern coastline has seen a cut of half in terms of usual economic activity. It’s thought human life has seen health declines that are noticeable for local professionals. It’s believed many social activities have also suffered interruptions.
This is just the start of trying to understand how a simple act of border control has splintered off into a large scale crime event. It’s not a helpful situation. It’s a scene that damages our confidence in the defence of a Union of four nations. It’s taken far too long to resolve a matter that our Armed Forces are expected to handle properly.
