The news is that London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, is set to receive a knighthood. It’s thanks to Sir Keir Starmer, himself a recipient of the award, and a proud bearer of it.
Therefore Khan joins the elite, and highly honoured, in the UK. It’s a far cry from gruelling campaigns and the relentless criticism that he’s had to put up with of late.
