Novak was told their “ransom demand” would “come through the post”, meaning in an exchange on the Internet. It happened today. He posted a video entitled April Morning Thoughts on his YouTube channel, and a threat in a comment appeared.
The intimidation had resulted in an altercation during which he was told he’d have to upload videos to Rumble, not YouTube, and if he didn’t, he’d need to send money to a PayPal account. He was told Reddit would “come alive” if he refused.
The men were office workers in London. It was clear that many thousands of others in the city did the same thing. They flooded Internet message boards with threats until their victims caved into their requests for wire transfers.
