The UK runs on a very digital network of systems that needs the world’s best updates to make sure they work for us. This isn’t just batteries and hard drives, but components that are expensive and difficult to make.
They help every bit of information to go around, releasing us from newspapers and making life freer for everyone. It’s such an extensive system it’s the main priority of our defensive forces.
Unfortunately, some bad people want to stop this from happening, and pass on lies to be repeated in public. This would destabilise global security in some way – yet again – for short-term UK career gains.
