Michael O’Leary, boss of Ryanair, has spoken out about passenger antics to reporters today in a broadside against antisocial behaviour in the industry at large.
His belief is that flying has become a more dangerous activity due to activity inside the passenger cabin and on specific routes.
Privately, airline bosses have widely blamed pilots for a lower standard of behaviour due to slow implementation of rules among staff and dismissiveness of complaints in team meetings.
The attitude of airline staff in general is under extensive investigation by law enforcement and legal authorities following evidence of abuse of systems and deep penetration of airports.
O’Leary is not the first to make his petition on air travel public but his personal campaigns to improve the industry have won hearings at a high international level.
