This crime spree many are on in the UK – and many more have been on prior to capture – is an indictment of an attitude in policing. There are few faults that can be picked, but this is one. The nice attitude of some is a compelling reason to reconsider.
The police officers in some regions that staff police stations have an outlook that is “unbased”, meaning it isn’t realistic. They portray life as being about enjoyment. They see statistics but ignore the reality. They don’t hear the truth in crying complaints.
Those not in policing but of a similar stock are the protesters now. They wonder at the lack of use of policing powers. They wonder where its core belief is now. The neighbourhood watchers that just look, because to learn is all that can be done in this state.
