It’s not often a bunch of police officers get cornered, but it happened in London.
The Metropolitan Police had an issue with officers going awry. In-between statistics there were gaps with bad behaviour.
The antics were verging on the disturbed.
A resident in an to SW1 address told me of a police officer who regularly stood outside her house in “commando” gear.
She had no idea why.
He shouted obscenities. He raged about global affairs. He blamed “the media” for this, that, and the other. He brought beer and drank it on the curb side.
The reports flooded in as requests were made.
The information led to rounding up twenty officers. They were reprimanded. A few got suspended.
One was sacked.
It goes to show that causing a nuisance is breaking the law no matter what side of it you are.
