The government’s approval rating continues to show no sign of slowing in its general sink. The latest poll from YouGov shows a 12% approval rating for the Prime Minister. It’s not a good sign after recent changes to staffing and efforts to reach out on international affairs.
Approval Rating
-
Gov. approval slightly improved
The Government is struggling to maintain a high approval rating since its coming into office just under two years ago.
It’s believed it has to start to appeal more broadly to see any luck.
The latest stats by YouGov reveal a sluggish response to recent attempts to restart a considered response to UK public concerns over issues such as small boats.
It has Sir Keir Starmer MP (Holborn and St Pancras/Labour) on a 14% approval rating compared to 66% disapproval.
It’s a concerning trend for a leader that wants to strongly connect with people.
-
Gov. approval running low
The straits of Sir Keir Starmer MP (Holborn and St Pancras/Labour) seem to stay as they are, even as he tries to improve his standing in the public domain.
According to a poll by YouGov, his approval is at 11% and his disapproval is at 69%.
This is bad news for a Prime Minister that wants to stay popular with the public.
-
Gov. approval struggling
The government has an uphill struggle ahead of itself. In its latest poll to gauge the public’s mood, YouGov has found that 69% disapprove against 14% that approve. It’s now become a stubbornly negative set of results for an overly optimistic and battle-weary government.
-
Approval of Gov. remains low
YouGov’s ongoing approval rating for the current government proves to be an interesting barometer of public opinion.
The question, “Do you approve or disapprove of the Government’s record to date?”, elicits the feelings of ordinary voters.
It’s shown a lacklustre sentiment of late. The most recent result for 26 May is 65% disapprove and 15% approve.
This isn’t a good standing for a Labour government.
It’s taken aim at farmers, and some pensioners, and it shows. The ongoing Dover Crossings doesn’t help it either.
The discord in society at large also negatively affects feelings about progress in Westminster.
-
Gov. disapproval edges higher
According to a poll for YouGov, the government’s disapproval rating remains stubbornly in the 60’s as it hits the middle of the first quarter of the year.
A survey for 27 January shows 64% of respondents disapprove against a 16% approval score. It’s a slight worsening since the start of the new year.
-
Gov. approval stays low
Approval in government is struggling according to YouGov. Its all-time low scores of 16% approval and 63% disapproval were recorded on 6 January. It saw 28% and 32% respectively just after the election last year.
-
Gov. approval struggles
According to YouGov, the government’s approval rating continues to remain stagnant. As of 16 December, it had a 60% disapproval and 20% approval score respectively.
It suggests a strong divide between its opposition and support. It’s pursuing an unpopular set of policies while also seeing growth in particular parts of the economy.
-
Gov takes a hit
As Sir Keir Starmer’s problems allegedly get worse, his government’s approval rating has taken a slide, also. According to YouGov it stood at 18% on 30 September against a 57% disapproval score.
It’s a tumble in the wrong direction, of course, and it may be explained by a contentious winter fuel vote as well as the scandal over party donations. If it doesn’t sit well with people it will feed dissatisfaction.
