    A new job means we get doubts.

    It’s the familiar lines such as ‘I’m not good enough’, or, ‘it’s not going to work out for me’. These are normal but they’re not meant to last.

    This didn’t happen in one particular case in New York City.

    A bunch of upstarts had begun to work for a prominent news outlet. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, a prestigious placement to obtain, but they felt too proud of their first step to see it through.

    The escape plan began to be formulated.

    They didn’t foresee the news stories coming up as being “aligned” with their worldview, or in the “same lane” as their expertise, so they planned an exit to make a go of it somewhere else.

    They picked out Europe as being a place to start.

    They landed in Edinburgh but failed at establishing a presence quickly enough. The brand of their former employer was good but not good enough to boost their chances in the Scottish city.

    So they moved and settled on London, in England.

    This is where their plan began to unravel as they soon turned to spurious methods to get their work done. The work of journalism is hard, and gritty, but it doesn’t need to be criminal for it to work.

    It did, however, and they also paid a heavy price for it.

    They retaliated and so began a descent into a sort of chaos that only besets those out of their league and out of their depth. It’s the cruel irony of repeating their first mistake and learning a hard lesson.

    A suspect known locally as a “Press Agent” was located in Victoria Station in London earlier today. His activities are under suspicion because of anomalies found in news reports written with his work.

    It’s believed such individuals work alone, for a profit-motive, and do not play a part in the industry of journalism in London, or the UK at large.

    They’re suspected of seeking to co-opt, control, and weaponise two major news outlets in the UK.

  • Journalism in focus: Assange’s trial

    The case of Julian Assange that passed out of the UK’s legal system earlier this year in June is a textbook instance of Government mishandling and a lack of journalistic integrity here.

    In some ways all of us have something to regret. In looking at the ordeal Assange went through, from his refuge in an embassy to his arrest and imprisonment in London, we have to reflect.

    His release is beside the point. A lack of pace and appropriate working habits is clear. Our way of progress is stagnant and we are impoverished of talent. It’s only fortunate it no longer needs to be proved.

  • Exposed: Fake news operation

    In a stunning capture, a participant in a suspected fake news operation which stretches Europe has been located to a leafy suburb in Reading, Berkshire. The white car pictured was occupied by a suspect who is considered to be a participant but not a senior partner in such a media-related crime.

    The point is suspects involved are alleged to be guilty of both ruining journalistic careers and also peddling fake news stories to outlets in a pan-European style. It means news is suppressed, altered, or completely fabricated to meet the aims of paying clients. This is attained in part by carrying fake press credentials.

    In context it’s counted as serious fraud. The ramifications of it is not understood fully and it does not extend to political forums at all. However such low-level criminality exists to profit off legitimate work but also to further criminal ends. There may be vendetta’s involved in this sort of crime.

  • Exposed: Media misgivings

    There’s such a thing as trusting a literary class because it comes with having it.

    In a sense we’re sort of left in the lurch.

    It’s not always a good situation to be in. It means we can’t contradict views or perspectives we don’t subscribe to, necessarily.

    It also means, at times, the UK is misrepresented in the worst ways. I mean across all titles, not just a few.

    Take a newspaper for example which didn’t like American entrepreneur Elon Musk all that much, and you’ll get my drift.

    They decided to “give him a shot”, as it were, or try him out for size, in other words.

    Unfortunately, their debates turned into insults, acrimony, and name-calling.

    It was all overheard, of course, and put down on record. They called him a “useless billionaire”, who “doesn’t give money to poor kids”, allegedly. It reflects badly.

    The writer’s we have are seen elsewhere as being ours, so it matters. I wish it didn’t, at times. It would be a lot easier.

    They’ve fraudulently claimed credit for basic journalistic activity from legitimate employees for many years in the UK.

    In a new exclusive for ConservativeNewsSite.com, a man suspected of involvement in an alleged attempt to steal from people in the UK is now exposed.

    He was found at a train station in England this morning. A team dispatched to work on this alleged plot were discovered in the same location yesterday.

  • NYT: A late operation

    In a startling discovery, it can be revealed The New York Times has long been intent on stealing from young people in the UK.

    It only emerged late this evening that a team of disparate reporters from the newspaper arrived in a nondescript town in England to begin their operation.

    It transpired some time ago that communications had been made to “bring over” a team from New York to organise the operation but it was felt a team from Ireland would suffice.

    It appears a lot may have gone amiss, but most of the plans were abandoned before it was disbanded with today.

  • NYT: A cover blown

    It isn’t the humblest of statements but he didn’t double down on it. I took it like it was he went off and I returned to what I was doing. It was the more sublime of encounters because I wanted it to happen – and then it caught me off guard.

    It just occurred in a street somewhere in London.

    I’d been out most of the day on a tail of someone said to be visiting from overseas. I wondered if it was my guy but I looked out for whoever it was regardless. It might turn up a different story that was less interesting.

    In this sort of game, however, any story is better than one unfinished.

    I happened to meet him and he went off on one immediately. He’s a talkative guy and once he’s into it there’s no stopping him. It’s mostly professional work he’ll talk about and a bit about himself. It’s clean-cut and nothing funny in it whatsoever, unless you’re looking for trouble that is.

    I knew he could give that as well.

    The point is he came out with it.

    Maybe I put him off-guard and he said it before realising. Perhaps I gave off more of an impression than I knew. Maybe it was an instinct for a story that got it out of him.

    Whatever it was he just unloaded the entire truth into my lap.

    I was grateful for the drop.

    It took a bit of time to work out what he meant.

    He wasn’t thinking of power or prestige just a sort of professionalism I knew nothing of. I’d have to be there to be square with him and I’d never been to his type of street in New York City.

    I thought he meant in terms of newspaper journalism and over time it proved I was right. He was a power broker without anyone realising it, and now his cover had been blown.

    It was a good day out.

    It’s significant as it’s the first time such a contact has been exposed to public scrutiny.

    She is suspected of nefarious activities in and around the city, and overseas.

    The UK journalism industry is as defunct as you think it is

    In writing about journalism in the UK it’s important to make distinctions. It’s because it exists everywhere and also nowhere. The latter group are those who still brand it but don’t do it.

    I won’t “name names” in this because it’s not appropriate. The fact of working in the UK is that people get it right and people do it wrong. That’s the point. It isn’t a brand name or a title which counts at all.

    In my relative past I’ve met a fair few “fake” journalists. These appeared at stories I was working on with others and were laughed off themselves. They did’t make the cut or fit the cloth.

    They just didn’t understand, and neither did their supposed peers who know.

    My story into learning that journalism is sometimes fake here started in 2001. I met a lady called Heather (false name) who I spoke to about the trade. She didn’t have much to say about it that’s positive at all.

    In fact, her review of it was it’s a “terrible” job. It wasn’t a good review in just those terms but she got more honest. Heather said it’s a “pretty shit” job that doesn’t pay unless it’s forced to.

    In her stories she related it was clear her way of knowing was flawed. It’s as if she knew how to put a story together but the “truth” of each of its parts were not clear enough.

    It transpired she hadn’t received any learning or education but her role was still a senior position in news. In my opinion she acted irresponsibly but her point was always to say, “it’s just journalism”.

    It clearly wasn’t. Yet the brand she worked for passed it off as such. It isn’t clear if these people are still lingering but it’s true to say people here know. They know fake journalism like a book in parts.
