    Journalism in a big city isn’t easy, and it’s not difficult to mess it up. The lack of newer titles that sell well, reach big audiences, and draw a spectacle over proceedings is telling. The older regimes still have it all to play for. As they’ve tagged along with institutions of state for such a long time, it helps along a sense of access – and understanding.

    At the end of University, you’d imagine the top destinations of choice for students are the elite companies with perks, and salaries to match. The draw is the immediacy of important work, lure of exciting future pathways, and inevitability of a better working life. It’s a tough uphill struggle, however, and few if any find it easy to handle at first.

    The start of a journalists life is before even college in many instances. The journey to a nice desk in a tall building with like-minded people is not paved with three years of listening, typing, and protesting. The learning curve is the difficult part, and it’s really the only lengthy bit of it. Unfortunately, no one has yet invented a way to streamline our way to understanding more about ourselves as citizens.

    To fit in, and get good work out, takes more than just winging it. There are ways to get on and get even with life, but these are not under the title “The New York Times”, or “Chicago Tribune”, but found online under self-titled, haphazard, and poorly edited profile pages. They go viral, but they make cash out of clicks and not sincere interest.

    The job of getting journalism done in higher realms is not the same as a politician or any interest-based organisation, but it has its own unique culture and patterns of thought. The fitting in part happens more than once, and that’s just the day job. It all has to make sense to the naked eye as much as in your raw thinking. The balance is achieved not by being there, but by being present, and attentive to it all.

    The innovation of “posting” – just putting stuff on the Internet for others to see – is still much the same, years after the earliest forms of it. The standards are vague, the quality is variable, and its creators are often anonymous.

    It makes sense if it fits in, in other words, which is along the lines of academic culture, and office life. “The lie isn’t the point, it’s the reactions, and the narratives that get built”, as a student once said to me, in a Freudian slip.

    The other side are the credible, innovative “keyboard” orator’s who know how to make digital content, like videos, and that sort of stuff. It reaches a grateful audience, who also see it carries weight because of a personality behind it.

    An example is ex-Number 10 advisor Dominic Cummings, who has over 58,000 subscribers. He carries the mandate of public service, and political life, over into his private work. He also writes about what interests his readers.

    As reported by this site, his alleged attempts range from falsified reporting, petty crimes, and quote trashing, to other journalistic misdemeanours.

    He’s believed to be a freelance journalist who works in conjunction with numerous UK-based outlets, particularly in London, but only on individual stories of national significance.

    Their attempts to affect news media – while remaining outside of it – has seriously disrupted news gathering, ordinary jobs in journalism, and news production in the UK for a number of years.

    This video shows a key operative in the modus operandi of the group living at an address in Berkshire. In recent months a surveillance spot has been used to also sight other criminals in their activities.

    This is a photo of a key bit of evidence. It suggests the nature of their lifestyles as they carried out their activities. They not only continued to try to enjoy themselves, but work normal jobs as well.

    Key confession

    This is a shot of a person riding a bike late at night, and is a definition of their name “News Source”. It doesn’t look like it to a normal eye, but it’s supposed to epitomize their activity.

    In an exclusive for ConservativeNewsSite.com, a group known as “News Source” is able to finally be exposed.

    Using basic messaging services they’ve sought to manipulate news making activities as part of their operations in the UK.

    In recent years, they’ve sought to infiltrate Sky News, Daily Mail, and The Sun operations in significant and varied ways.

    They’re plain individuals, living nondescript lives amongst us and carrying out normal, everyday activities.

    However, their efforts to suppress stories, pass on false information, and try to manipulate news production is a nefarious force against news gathering activity.

  • Long Report: Journalism in dark places

    I spent nearly 10 years fighting to understand a town in the heart of Berkshire, but it’s not easy to say. I arrived without fanfare, having done it before.

    I had no help. I didn’t work with anyone. The people already here, ironically, left. They didn’t find much interest in a large town. They didn’t seem the types, anyway.

    They went on to find “gold, and glory” elsewhere. It felt odd they did it, and bitter. I saw the back of them and didn’t want to know any further. They also looked the wrong sort.

    I explored the town in work, leisure, and social time at a few churches. It wasn’t easy because I wasn’t supposed to fit in. I didn’t try, and so I didn’t fail, either, in what I tried.

    Justifying the dark

    It begins without light, and slowly grows. It’s my experience in working in hardship and in the lives of others. They feel pain I don’t get, and I feel anguish I can’t share.

    It’s tough, but I love the results. I can’t see it at times, and it’s laborious work to make things happen. To begin with it takes a week, and at once it took a whole month.

    In the process, other people don’t understand. They have an air of arrogance, and think a different method is better. I almost have to justify the dark, to get on.

    The horror that accompanies a deep work is difficult to shake. I still have to get over the things I saw. I found people in a bad condition. I witnessed awful things.

    Believing incredibly

    The biggest task I had to tackle is the issue of obsession. I encountered people with too many hangups about life. Mostly it was about democracy, which is sad.

    In England, politics is a slow but winnable game. It takes time, but over time people get the gist and make it work for themselves. In Reading, no such belief existed.

    It was like that for various reasons, and on one hand were those who believed it so because of previous offenses. They felt this party was bad, or that party shit.

    I later met the two men who were behind it. They were Labour and Conservative supporters respectively, and made things turn on their enjoyment of it.

    It wasn’t pleasant, or pretty, as it went on. They were too insistent for more impressionable residents. As luck would have it, they found broad support as well.

    Ending madness

    It was a maddening experience, over nine years of hell. I had to deal with endless criminal types, awful manipulation, and interference from far off actors.

    In my experience, people tend to cause trouble because on a personal level it’s what makes sense. It’s not my work that’s going to be relevant, but their needs.

    The job was to investigate, and to produce research. What it took was time, and a lot of angst. I don’t like difficult situations, and I don’t fare well in it, either.

    In an unsurprising trend, behemoth BBC News topped the world rankings for website visits in September this year. The heavily publicly funded outlet scored 986 million in global hits.

    It covers both the .co.uk and .com iterations, the latter of which stands alone as a news outfit for worldwide audiences. Its news reporting is also translated into other languages.

  • NYT: Fraud recruitment video

    In an exclusive for ConservativeNewsSite.com, a fraudulent recruitment video for a ruse exposed by this site can now be revealed.

    The footage shows an airbrushed face reciting a script in a style familiar to criminal networks. It’s meant to recruit, and teach how to do field work.

    Earlier this year, a criminal enterprise in London run under the auspices of The New York Times has been exposed as part of this unique effort.

  • Competitiveness in journalism

    It’s a pub in Whitehall, on Parliament Street, actually. It sits on a corner and is usually busy. A summer a while ago, two people met to discuss things.

    The convener of the meeting had been making a request. A snippet of the exchange goes something like this:

    “Competitors?”

    “Yes, competitors. I need you to make them look tired, worried, and anxious. Can you do it?”

    “Yes, I can do it”.

    It’s not often spies meet together in such a clandestine way, but it’s not unusual for journalists to try it.

    Indeed, one of them was in fact a French journalist, but the other involved in a different line of work.

    Her intended targets were “people of significance”, and she got the confirmation she wanted. Her contact said he’d try his best.

    In an exclusive for ConservativeNewsSite.com, an activist working for particular media organisations in the UK has been spotted preparing for his false scandal.

    He’s alleged to be working on “Hansard Files”, a false story involving some members of staff and MP’s in the House of Commons.
