  • Serious actors use social media to make a point

There’s been an increase of media-related activity on a range of social media apps. It’s not just limited to X but encompasses all of the major platforms that are accessible on smartphones. It doesn’t put such information in range unless somebody has a prior interest in it.

But it does mean that real events are being covered for people across the world. This has diversified the news media landscape. It benefits those working in news but disadvantages the work of managing information flows for the public good.

Telegram is a particular source of channels that provide multimedia on a range of topics. There’s a strong presence of Russia-related information. It’s believed most if not all of these are scrutinised by Russian authorities. It may be these seek to spread propaganda and may influence western narratives.

“One major thing that unites us: We strive to bring you fast, factual news that you won’t see elsewhere in the mainstream media—or even as fast—and we seek to destroy and dismantle any narrative, including the Zionist narrative, in order to let the truth prevail and to usher in a New Dawn.”

    @WorldPravda/Telegram

It’s not proved there’s a direct link between the Russian military and such media found online. It’s therefore not inherently insecure. However, experts here believe this is irrelevant. The reason why is Russia seeks to promote an expansion of activity of its media remit.

There are hints the Russian government seeks to undermine media capacity in other countries. It means the State of Russia doesn’t support media activity that is not for its purposes. In an extreme circumstance, it may try to pull a company off-air, just like the Soviet Union tried with the BBC before.

It cannot be determined who the culprits are of this because it’s worked into the particulars of a closed state, with its secretive network of Intelligence and security services. There may be missions but these are classified, State-sponsored acts that are protected by its ways of working and reasoning.

Ultimately, any activity like this – and not just in media realms – is designed to produce a sort of profit for those who do it. It’s meant to help them in their career and also to promote their status within a line of work or in some sort of duty. It’s therefore not just a bit of information.

  • Is Putin behind the Epstein story?

The time to tell the truth about Epstein has come and gone over and over, and so far, no one has really come out as the prime suspect, except the man himself and the shadowy aide who remains in prison.

This has the markings of a plot, handled clumsily by online sleuths, followed assiduously by public media, and yet left untouched by the people behind the scurrilous and sparing facts of espionage.

The work to find out if anyone is behind the Epstein story as a work of political fiction is more of a possibility at official levels than anywhere else at this point.

The State of Russia – a suspect in every detailed attempt to takedown Western leaders ‘overnight’ – is led by a former spy who’s known to have spent time in key cities in the West as a part of his secret work.

Russians are particular in their handling of contacts, using social networks of any type to make their way into the homes and workplaces of the rich and powerful. Their efforts are clever – and prolific.

It may be that Putin has a hand in this. He’s calm on the international stage, and confident in his dealings with leaders. It doesn’t reveal perverts rule this part of the world but it shows an image of chaos he’s long sought to prove exists in our leadership structures.

The publishing of material has weighted more on the American side, showing it won’t undermine their status at all. But it came close. It could have been a story of proportions, casting doubt on more than reputation, but on American ethics itself.

  • GB News in trouble for anti-Muslim comment

It’s not easy listening to someone complaining about something that is special to you, but a bus journey only lasts so long and it can blow over for most of us.

Yet, if it’s a live station broadcast it’s not so simple as to consider it’s just a passing comment.

In a recent example, Patrick Christy of GB News is now alleged of hate by saying Eid is used for rape by Pakistani men.

It’s reminiscent of a troubled era in recent political history, and brings up the unfortunate efforts of radicals and far right people.

MEND is calling for an investigation into the comment, which the Muslim group calls “a grave and unqualified allegation” in breach of obvious TV rules.

The seriousness of any and all accusations aside, perhaps GB News should plan their content in future, at least in regard to such emotive and sensitive a topic.

It’s not believed to affect “BBC” staffing arrangements, but left a bit longer and it might have done.

This constitutes a crime in UK law because it confuses security arrangements, exposes the UK public to adverse actors, and creates security threats that present opportunities to non-State overseas actors for infiltration.

A suspect alleged of serious crimes seen here in Reading, Berkshire.

The conduct of senior “BBC” staff has been the subject of intense scrutiny by London-based investigators for many years. It’s because of hiring practices considered “strange” by top experts. It’s also due to suspicious payments and other irregularities.

  • Epstein was a master of entrapment

Notorious people are largely unwanted by the time of their death. This isn’t the case with notable individuals. The true story of Jeffrey Epstein is one of inevitable infamy at the right moment. The truth comes out, and people hate you. This happened with the deceased socialite.

However, like many other’s who are perverse, he was disliked to begin with. In London, he didn’t fair highly in the social scales. He was known, but as usual, for all the wrong reasons. People couldn’t investigate him because not all people are investigators.

The fact Epstein had an island meant he was already in flight. This social arrangement makes it difficult for people to find you, regardless of the reason. It’s especially complex for the Police, who then have to file through endless social encounters and occasions to find a strong line of argument.

The mixing in of different personalities and figures always brings out our real opinions. There are those that are just jealous, envious, or tired of their own position in life. There are still others that are fascinated, curious, or enamoured by it in a simple way.

The case of Prince Andrew is difficult because he’s never been a senior Royal except in name only. Her Late Majesty trusted him but didn’t set him up as an example. He’s largely hidden in the shadows, coincidentally where most of this type of scandal happens.

It’s the part of the social order that lives but never really dies. The majority are not involved, but they know about it and have to navigate their way carefully to the right social contacts. This duty of sorts makes it fraught with speculation. It also brings out the liars.

  • Media needs to be informative

The output about Gaza has been relatively dire. It’s demonstrative that many of the staff of leading companies in the UK – such as the BBC and other titles – haven’t learned how to nuance.

They haven’t gone beyond compliance with the bare rules to make real points.

The visual elements rely on footage of emaciated children and yet a disclaimer says they can’t verify by being inside the territory

Alleged footage of Gaza found online (Credit: GAZA NOW IN ENGLISH/Telegram).

The use of shock tactics is striking considering that such disturbing images can’t be conclusively contextual.

The online world gives ample recognition to the realities of conflicts but little of the ‘verified’ status of some news reports. This is a minefield for curious minds, and yet an alarm bell at the state of private news enterprise.
