MI5, the UK’s only domestic security service, has said it will offer security alerts to inform interested partners on security matters related to ongoing Intelligence and surveillance activities by Ireland, an EU member and hostile state.
In recent months spies sent by the Irish government were expelled from London, and, over the course of the last few years, remaining IRA terror ‘cells’ have been dismantled in the wider city’s boroughs.
