Just as the UK begins to regain control of its borders and policing enterprise, crisis after crisis hits us. The crimewaves that have become a part of our daily lives are dampening public enthusiasm for politics at the highest level.

Just look at the state of the prisons service, and you’ll see why communities are fretting over their safety. The regime of sentencing has taken a dive in recent times as backlogs have increased and the inmate population has reached breaking point.
Mismanagement is seen to be at the heart of all these issues. The professions have heeded bleating from a cabal of fake human rights lawyers and ineffective government departments, and victims and relatives denied justice have been told to wait longer.
It’s a simple exercise in policy and good judgement, but our elected representatives haven’t come together to put Britain first to stop the ridiculous proposal of early release, speed up building projects, and end delays. These are soundings of a madhouse, not a powerful office of state or its cabinet.
