The benefit of a rigorous democratic system like ours is a multi-party process that engages people on their opinions and sets up debates between their representatives. The general election cycle is a positive innovation because it replaces slow, often distant decision making with efficient, relevant legislative play.
Not all that is said and done here is included in Parliament’s order of business, but the points that are can become precedent-setting notions that carry in law for generations to come. In fact, English character is now being shaped by party politics toward beneficial results.
